Data sourceProblems and quotes come from Reddit only. When you check a written idea, the report also runs two web searches to list who already sells something similar. No GitHub, Stack Exchange, Product Hunt, private data or paid review databases.
Two ways to use itScan the communities where your customers talk (first scan free), or paste your idea and get an evidence report with a verdict, a 0 to 100 score and quotes checked against their source threads; quotes that do not appear in the thread are thrown out. What IdeaFast is

Most founders start from a solution they like and go looking for a problem to attach it to. IdeaFast works the other way around. It reads the communities where your future customers already complain, clusters the recurring pain with an embedding pipeline, and scores each theme by how acute, frequent, and recent it is. The strongest signals become concrete startup ideas, with the original threads attached so every claim can be checked. The goal is simple: replace guessing what to build with evidence you can verify yourself.

Who is behind it

IdeaFast is built and run by Shubham Bhatt, a solo founder building in public. It is not a venture-backed team or a faceless data vendor. One person designs the research pipeline, writes the pages, answers the support email, and ships the product. That means the methodology is opinionated on purpose, and when something is wrong you can reach the person who can fix it. The build is shared in public on X as @BhattBuilds.

How the research works

Two ideas run through everything IdeaFast produces. The Pain Signal Score is a 0 to 100 rating of how strong a problem's signal is, based on how acute, how frequent, and how recent the underlying complaints are. The Receipts Rule is the policy that no pain point is ever shown without a receipt: every one links back to the original post so you can read the real words for yourself. If a claim cannot be backed by a linked source, it does not ship. You can read the full methodology on the scoring guide.

Where the data comes from

IdeaFast reads one source and only one: Reddit. It does not scan GitHub, Stack Exchange, or Product Hunt, and it does not use private data, paid review databases, or AI-summarized third-party reports. Every pain point links back to the original public thread, so the evidence is always something you can open and verify, not a number we ask you to trust.

What IdeaFast is not

Honesty is the whole point, so it is worth being clear about the limits. IdeaFast is not a magic idea machine, and a high Pain Signal Score is not a promise that a business will work. It surfaces where real demand and frustration already exist; turning that into a product still takes judgment, talking to customers, and building. It is also not a live feed. Each research page is a snapshot from a dated scan, and communities move every week, which is exactly why you can rescan any niche fresh. The value is in starting from evidence instead of a guess, not in outsourcing the decision.

Why it exists

Building the wrong thing is the most expensive mistake a founder can make, and it usually starts with a hunch that never got checked against reality. IdeaFast exists to make that check fast and honest. You can browse the free research pages, compare it with other tools on the comparison pages, or run your first scan free to see what real customers are complaining about in your niche right now.
